CMPD: 19-Year-Old Dies After Car Crosses Into Oncoming Traffic In Northwest Charlotte July 14, 2021 CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Detectives say 19-year-old Karla Guerrero-Morales died on Tuesday from injuries she received in car wreck that occurred on Friday, July 9th in northwest Charlotte. Officers say they responded to the two-vehicle wreck on Mount Holly Road, between a gray 2007 Mercury Marquis and a gray 2014 Toyota Camry, around 10 p.m. on July 9th. Detectives say Guerrero-Morales was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries after the crash, and the other two occupants of the Mercury and driver of the Camry were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
