State auditors flagged 50 air-conditioning units and two sets of body temperature scanners at the National Library of the Philippines (NLP) which did not appear in their books.
"50 air-conditioning units and two sets of body temperature scanner were found by the audit team installed in different areas of the NLP Building during inspection. Verification disclosed that these equipment were not recorded in the books of the NLP," the Commission on Audit (COA) said in the 2020 audit report of the NLP.
Auditors found that the units were delivered and installed by AC Tumang Construction but contracts had no details how muzch they cost.
