The coal database has 74 geographical information system-based layers on the PM Gati Shakti portal under categories such as coal block, coalfield boundary and land asset data, which will provide stakeholders with infrastructure information. The information on coal mining projects can be used for planning and executing projects in the sector for timely completion, according to the ministry.
