There is a Code Blue alert in effect for Albany County.
Code Blue is issued when temperature reaches 32 degrees or less, including wind chill.
Homeless residents of Albany County in need of shelter can go to the Capital City Rescue Mission on South Pearl Street, the Emergency Overflow Shelter on State Street or the IPH Safe Haven on South Swan Street.
The Code Blue will remain in effect through next Saturday January 9.
