After several people had adverse reactions to coronavirus shots, organizers shut down a "Vaccines for All" event in Commerce City. The shutdown left more than 600 people who had scheduled appointments for the event to receive the Johnson & Johnson vaccine at Dick's Sporting Goods Park waiting, Centura Health said Wednesday. The vaccination clinic — sponsored by Centura Health and the state —closed around 3:30 p.m. after more than 1,700 shots were administered. Officials said that 0.8%, or roughly 13 people, had an adverse reaction in the on-site observation site. “Following the administration of the ... vaccine and during onsite observation, we saw a limited number of adverse reactions to the vaccine,” Centura Health officials said in the statement.
