Columbus man shot, killed istock.com Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a Friday night shooting that left a Columbus man dead and another man injured. Lowndes County Sheriff Eddie Hawkins confirmed a report of shots fired around 10 p.m. by 172 Swedenburg Circle in Lowndes County. When first responders arrived, they discovered Quinshawn Dewayne Lucious, 22, had been shot. Another man who had been shot was flown to an area hospital. Lucious was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later by Lowndes County Coroner Greg Merchant.
