Columbus public works employees involved in assault on unpaid leave By Dispatch Staff Reports May 7, 2021 istock.com Lamarcus Davis Authorities have identified a Columbus Public Works employee accused of assaulting a fellow employee during an altercation in South Columbus Wednesday. Lamarcus Juvunte Davis, 35, has been charged with aggravated assault in the incident, which a Columbus Police Department press release said began as argument between the two employees, who work on the same crew and were on duty on Pickensville Road when the assault occurred. Police Chief Fred Shelton told The Dispatch Davis assaulted the victim with a weapon, but declined to say what weapon he used.
