And while staying indoors helps protect people from the coronavirus, even the cleanest room can be filled with invisible particles that could be harmful to their health, like dust, pollen, bacteria, mold, and viruses. It’s this growing demand for clean air that is also driving the increasing demand for household air purifiers. Even the Department of Labor and Employment notes that air purifiers help mitigate the transmission of COVID-19. In its recently released Department Order 224-21, it states: “Where ventilation is greatly recirculated or accessed to outside air is not feasible, filters such as HEPA filtration air purifiers can be used to clean recirculated air, provided that the unit is adequate for the size of the room in which it is installed in. Ensure proper maintenance by following manufacturer recommendations of these devices.”
