Commission Hits Pause Button On Comp Planning Details
The Clatsop County Board of Commissioners are pausing the Comprehensive Plan Update in order to reassess the project’s schedule and process. This is another case of the pandemic slowing down what was already a lengthy and very complex task The Comprehensive Plan represents the long-term land use vision for the county and sets planning policies that guide county actions regarding land use, recreational amenities, transportation networks, farm and forest lands, natural resources, housing, and other aspects of the county’s work. The Plan Update project, launched in 2019, is the first complete update of the county’s Comprehensive Plan since its original adoption in 1979.
