Rehoboth Beach Commissioner Pat Coluzzi has announced she is not running for re-election this year. In an email June 2, Coluzzi said she wasn’t running for re-election because she has other commitments and wishes to travel more, which would limit the amount of time she could spend fulfilling the requirements to serve as a full-time commissioner. Elected in 2018, Coluzzi’s current three-year-term is her second as city commissioner. She served on the commission from 2007 to 2013, and was a planning commissioner in 2006. Coluzzi has served as vice president of the board of commissioners for the past year. As of press deadline June 3, only one person has filed for this year’s election – incumbent Commissioner Richard Byrne, who filed May 14.
