Sol Lain Playground. Photo: NYC Parks. In October, Mayor de Blasio announced his Community Parks Initiative, a plan to spend $130 million to renovate small parks in low-income neighborhoods. Sol Lain Playground, at East Broadway and Henry streets, is one of three Lower East Side parks set for a face lift. Tonight, there’s a community visioning session scheduled in the Family Medical Care Center at 40 Montgomery St. It will be held from 6-8 p.m. $3.3 million has been allocated for the Sol Lain project.
