Community members, leaders practice MLK's message of helping others with food drive and last updated 2021-01-18 23:35:20-05 HAMPTON, Va. -- The Reverend, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once stated, âWhat are you doing for others?â Residents with organizations and departments from across the Peninsula gathered at the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank on Martin Luther King Jr. to practice that message. They dropped off, received, and sorted through lots of donated food for the Foodbankâs fifth annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service Food Drive. All of the food was gathered in a matter of two weeks from January 4 to January 15.
