Updated PG&E power outage in Sonora Update at 4:30 p.m.: PG&E is reporting a power outage in the Gibbs Ranch area of Sonora this afternoon. The utility reports crews are at the site investigating a cause while the CHP has reported a transformer explosion and fire along Johnny Avenue near Racetrack Road. The outage is impacting about 40 customers. There is no estimated time of repair being given by the company. Update at 2 p.m.: PG&E updates there remain nearly 3,000 customers without electricity this afternoon in Tuolumne County. Most are along the Highway 108 corridor in the Twain Harte and Miwuk Village areas as detailed in the chart below:
