(Staten Island Advance)Staff-Shot Facebook Share STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Brooklyn’s iconic amusement park, Luna Park in Coney Island, known for its thrilling attractions, will open for the 2021 season, on Friday. After being closed last season, the park will open at 11:30 a.m. with limited capacity. The park will also host the traditional egg cream christening of the Coney Island Cyclone at 11 a.m. This year, to honor Brooklyn frontline workers, Luna Park will donate 500 admission wristbands to hospital staff from the community and their families.
