The Independent councillor argues the existing location involves crews exiting at a busy junction
A mid Louth councillor has called for the new Dunleer Fire Station to be built on the main road that goes through the town, instead of on the current site.
Independent Hugh Conlon told Louth County Council's monthly meeting that he believes the existing location on Barn Road, is unsuitable for the new development as it involves exiting a busy junction.
Director of Corporate Services Joe McGuinness said that site appraisal has not been completed yet and the suggestion would be taken on board.
