Kincardine, ON, Canada / ShorelineToday.ca Apr 28, 2021 | 6:23 AM Residents living along the shoreline can do their part in helping restore and preserve the health of area beaches. The Lake Huron Centre for Coastal Conservation have put out something called the Green Ribbon Champion program. It is available to residents living in Kincardine, Saugeen Shores, and Huron-Kinloss. Coastal Stewardship Coordinator Daniela Klicper says the program looks to restore the natural dunes along the shoreline that will lead to better beaches.
Klicper says participants will receive a tool kit, and initial assessments begin in May with a follow up assessment later in the fall.
