Courtesy City of Moncton The City of Moncton is moving ahead with construction of a new trail called the Panacadie Trail. The first segment to be built will run from the East End Pool to Andrew Lane, behind Atlantic Superstore. Plans for this section will include a boardwalk and asphalt trails. Catharine Dallaire, Moncton’s General Manager for Recreation, Culture and Events, said the Panacadie Trail will ultimately be seven kilometres long connecting the Riverfront Trail to Mapleton Park. Dallaire told City Council this initial segment will be challenging and important. “Many future portions of the trail will be tied to engineering activities, sewer upgrades and further development in the city,” she noted.
