Construction truck snags power lines, crashes into pole closing intersection overnight Updated 9:16 AM; WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI – A Pittsfield Township intersection remains closed Thursday morning after a Wednesday afternoon crash caused extensive damage to power lines and a utility pole. At about 2:10 p.m. May 12, a construction truck with a boom and bucket entered the intersection of Textile Road and State Street where it snagged a power line and then struck a utility pole, according to the Pittsfield Township Police Department. There were no injuries reported and no other vehicles involved in the crash, police said. The crash resulted in a power outage in the area and the closing of the intersection. Power has since been restored, but the roadway is still closed as of 9 a.m. May 13.
