The Lieutenant Governor of Delhi has approved 17 welfare schemes for registered construction workers in the national capital. The benefits will be provided through direct benefit transfer (DBT) after Aadhar-based authentication. The approval comes as a response to recent instances of financial irregularities and leakages in the distribution of benefits.
