Consumer court orders tile shop to pay Rs69,000 in compensation July 21, 2021 KARACHI: A consumer court on Monday ordered a shopkeeper to pay a compensation of Rs69,000 to his customer for providing him tiles of poor quality. The judge of the Consumer Court - East observed that in case the defendant failed to pay the amount to the plaintiff, the former may undergo three years in jail along with a fine of Rs200,000. Khadim Hussain had filed a complaint against a shop, Dilshad Marble, situated in the Nazimabad area for defrauding him by providing poor quality of tiles instead of the better ones he had paid for.
