Fire crews were called to investigate the containers on Cedar Walk, Butleigh at 6.49pm yesterday (December 15). A hazardous materials advisor, a pumping appliance and a local supervisory officer were sent to the incident. A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: "On arrival crews located a number of containers and requested further personnel from Glastonbury in a 4x4 vehicle to assist with searching the lane. "Searching crews found approximately 30 containers, some leaking and running towards a water course. "An additional hazardous materials advisor, environmental protection unit and supporting appliance from Taunton were requested. The Environment Agency were informed about the incident.
