LMFM By Marc O'Driscoll The Army bomb disposal team carried out a controlled explosion near Oldbridge House outside Drogheda last night. A section of the boardwalk outside the Battle of the Boyne Visitor Centre was sealed off yesterday morning after a viable device was discovered. The scene was declared safe by the Army’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team just after 8.20pm and has since fully reopened. The suspect device, which resembled a mortar, was initially found by a member of the public. Gardaí say no one was injured and investigations are ongoing.
