KUALA LUMPUR: The private healthcare sector is appealing for the government to lead and coordinate efforts for the private procurement of the Covid-19 vaccines. Association of Private Hospitals Malaysia president Datuk Dr Kuljit Singh said that private hospitals want to work together with the government to streamline national inoculation efforts. He added that private hospitals are also open to having a ceiling price imposed for vaccine doses it administers as well. “We are happy that the government has given us the opportunity to talk to the manufacturers to get the vaccine, but our concern is that it might be a challenge for us to get the vaccines on our own.
