Cornish shop painted 'Smurf blue' in quaint conservation area is restored to its original white colour after locals complained it made the resort 'look like Benidorm'

Residents in St Ives, Cornwall, were left furious at what was dubbed 'the Smurf blue' colour of the building. They argued it was out of keeping with the rows of magnolia-painted houses and shops.
