Dec 29, 2020 Although the Wareham Council on Aging remains closed because of covid-19, a variety of outreach programs and appointments are available, according to a Council on Aging press release. Meals on Wheels will continue to be delivered to homes of seniors age 60+ and people with disabilities, Monday through Friday. And Grab and Go lunches can be picked up at the Multiservice Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Meals are free, and arrangements must be made ahead by calling 508-291-3130. Drivers are desperately needed for Meals on Wheels. There is a mileage reimbursement, and the Council on Aging is taking special care during the pandemic to keep drivers and seniors safe. Those interested in driving for Meals on Wheels should call 508-291-3100 ext. 6514.
