County limits water use Back to video Non-essential water use includes, according to the county, watering lawns, waiting to fill hot tubs, pools or large aquariums, washing vehicles and long showers. The county also asks residents to postpone laundry and dishwashing, turn off taps while shaving or brushing your teeth, and flush the toilet only when necessary. The water restriction applies to a wide range of communities in Strathcona County including Sherwood Park, Ardrossan, Half Moon Lake, Antler Lake, Collingwood Lake and Fultonvale.
