The County of Huron’s annual Supporting Local Economic Development (SLED) program opened on Feb. 8. The program provides an opportunity for municipalities and registered non-profits to receive funding for projects, which target key regional economic development priorities. Recipients of the SLED program funding are required to use funds in a way that has a clear and measurable economic impact, includes substantial private sector participation, and must provide financial resources and support to the project.
