KOTA KINABALU: A total of 10 students and four teachers in Sabah were confirmed Covid-19 positive from January 20 to 26, which led to four schools being closed for sanitisation. State Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said this followed screenings done before allowing teachers and students to return to schools. This involved one teacher and seven hostel students and one non-hostel student at SM St Mary, Sandakan; two teachers in SMK Elopura; and one teacher and a student in SMK Batu Sapi. Another student was found infected in SMK Perempuan Sandakan. “The Sandakan Health office has directed the closure of the four schools for 10 days to carry out sanitisation works at the premises.
