COVID-19 cases rise slightly in the Park; deaths continue to mount at Rivercrest in the Fort

As of Jan. 25, there were two residents with active COVID-19 cases at Rivercrest and 20 residents have recovered (one new recovery since Jan. 22). In addition, there are six active cases among facility staff and 26 staff have recovered from the virus (two recoveries since Jan. 22). Active COVID-19 cases in Sherwood Park have risen since last update but rural Strathcona County continues to see its numbers decline.
COVID19Stats.Alberta.ca, the geospatial Alberta Health Services’ case-tracking site, shows there are 119 active cases of the novel coronavirus in all of Strathcona County, as of Monday, Jan. 25, with 97 cases in Sherwood Park and 22 in the rural area.
