COVID-19 closes Dartmouth daffodil field for second consecutive year
DARTMOUTH — Signs of spring are starting to show as the very beginnings of daffodils are slowly poking their way up through the ground.
However, the hundreds of daffodils that delight walkers at Parsons Reserve will be making their grand entrance to no one, as the Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust has decided to close the grounds again this year.
In an announcement in its recent newsletter, the DNRT sited the pandemic as the reason the Parsons Reserve will be closed to the public from March until early May.
“During this time, daffodil fields will not be maintained, the entrances to the Parsons Reserve will be blocked, and DNRT will be monitoring the property to enforce the closure,” the newsletter stated.
