Brown said the decision on whether to impose supervised isolation on the arriving passengers would hinge on whether any transmission was discovered in New Zealand’s most recent community cases announced last night. A father and child tested positive in Orewa on Wednesday after they were released from a managed isolation facility over a week ago. The pair both returned two negative tests while in managed isolation at the Pullman Hotel, but tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday night, and are now in managed isolation. Brown noted he had confidence in the New Zealand system and contract tracing regime. DAVID WHITE/STUFF
