However, Chief of All India Medical Sciences, Dr Randeep Guleria warned people about the misuse of CT scans and how the overuse can increase one's risk of cancer at a later age. He warned people that there is no need to get a CT scan for mild cases. One CT scan is equal to 300-400 X-ray, he added. So, getting a CT scan done when not advised only increases your risk of cancer at a later age.
