Midwife with pregnant woman SALISBURY NHS Foundation Trust is now recommending that all pregnant woman carry out a rapid home test for Covid-19 twice a week. In line with Government guidance, the tests must be taken by the woman and their support partner, even if they are not experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms. They say these tests should be taken for any appointment, for example with a midwife, at a consultant clinic appointment or for an ultrasound scan. If you have not undertaken a Lateral Flow Test prior to attending you may be asked to undertake a test on arrival. When you have completed and recorded your test you will be sent an email or text which you can use as proof of a negative test.
