(Photo by AFP) Day after the chief minister of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray urged the Centre to allow the states to develop a separate application for vaccination, NCP state chief Jayant Patil also pressed for decentralisation of the vaccination app. "There are a number of technical issues in the CoWin-app. There are many complaints related to login and 'OTP'. It is very challenging for about 1.3 billion Indians to register on time from a single central app." He also said that the Centre should allow the states to develop a separate app where the data can be shared with the Union health ministry or the CoWin app for each state developed and managed by the Centre.
