December 31, 2020 09:00 One additional Hong Kong Buddhist Hospital patient has preliminarily tested positive for COVID-19, the Hospital Authority said Wednesday. "We have an 83-year old gentleman who preliminarily tested positive for COVID-19 in a medical ward at the Buddhist Hospital. For this ward, we also had a confirmed COVID-19 patient and a confirmed nurse,” Chief Manager of the authority Dr Sara Ho told a press briefing. "For this particular patient, he did not stay in the same cubicle as the previously confirmed patient. This patient was therefore classified as other contact.” The source of infection is still under investigation and it is not clear yet if there was virus transmission in the ward.
