The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting five new positive cases of COVID-19 today. Unlike previous days the Tuesday case count is spread out across the region. There are two cases in the Sioux Lookout region, one in Dryden/Red Lake, one in the District of Rainy River and one in the Kenora area. There is also a probable case in the Kenora region. There are now 74 active and 8 probable cases. Sixty-six are in the Kenora area, four in the Sioux Lookout district and two each in Dryden/Red Lake and the Rainy River areas. The test positivity rate from February 1-7 was 3.24% and it currently stands at 0.53% since the start of the pandemic.
