THE first Covid-19 vaccinations in Kendal have been administered today. People from the town and surrounding areas have filed in to the Captain French Surgery on Gillinggate to receive the Pfizer-BioNTech jab. Nearly 1,000 people will be given the vaccine over the course of today and tomorrow. Dr Ed Clarke, local GP and clinical director of the Kendal Primary Care Network, said: “Covid-19 has affected the lives and livelihoods of thousands of people in our town, and many thousands across our country. "It’s brilliant to feel that we are able to do something that will help us move towards normality again."
