CPSO Deputy Terminated After Arrest On Saturday, May 1, Deputy James C. Trahan was investigated by the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office on complaints of indecent behavior with a juvenile. During the investigation, authorities say it was disclosed that Trahan had been inappropriately touching the victim since the age of six years old. On Sunday May 2, Trahan was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center. He was later charged with indecent behavior with a juvenile with a bond set at $450,000 by Judge Tony Fazzio. Trahan had been a correctional officer at the Calcasieu Correctional Center and with the department for approximately 15 years. With things going on in the world with those sworn to protect us, it's sad that things like this happen and there are so many voiceless victims who never get justice. We have to know we are protected in order for there to be complete trust with law enforcement. This is not the way to get it.
