Updated December 24, 2020 5:35 p.m. EST By Nia Harden, WRAL reporter Raleigh, N.C. — Raleigh police had to divert traffic on Capital Boulevard near Crabtree Boulevard after a pedestrian accident on Thursday morning. The pedestrian illegally crossed the roadway and was struck, according to a crash report. The person was 60 feet from the nearest crosswalk. The accident took place near the Greyhound Station. An alert tweeted by police said northbound and southbound lanes of Capital Boulevard were temporarily shut down. Items of clothing and a black shoe were scattered in the roadway. A tan sedan pulled alongside the road was damaged from the accident.
