One person was taken to a hospital late Tuesday night after a front-end loader and an eastbound Norfolk Southern train collided at a private crossing just west of the Fahy Bridge in South Bethlehem, the railroad said Wednesday by email.
The collision happened about 10:30 p.m. on Norfolk Southern property off Union Station Plaza. The front-end loader was driven by a Norfolk Southern maintenance employee, the company said. It wasn’t immediately clear if the loader was removing snow from the rail yard.
