Carencro family loses everything in Thursday morning house fire KATC and last updated 2021-04-15 15:33:53-04 A family of four has lost everything after a Thursday morning house fire in Carencro. The Carencro Fire Department says they responded to a residential fire at 3:50 am on April 15 in the 100 block of Simon Latour Road. Upon arrival, firefighters say they found the residence fully involved. Additional units from Lafayette, Scott, Prairie, and Cankton fire departments assisted in extinguishing the fire. The homeâs occupants â two adults, a child, and a toddler â escaped the fire without injury. One person was examined on scene by Acadian Ambulance as a precaution.
