Policies are still working. I want to get your reactions to this great jobs report. Paris, lets start with you. First of all, thank you for having me tonight. This is a tremendous achievement for the president but it is even better for the american people. With the job numbers coming out today, there were estimates unemployment would be upwards of 20 or more. The unemployment number was 13. 3 . 13. 3 is still high, but we have to put into context of where we are as a nation. The president essentially had to shut off the economy to save lives. More specifically, he had to save black american lives that were disproportionally impacted by the Global Pandemic we call covid19. Even in the face of covid19, the economy being shut off, the economy itself, the fundamentals, the foundation that President Trumps leadership has echoed into this new generation of Wealth Creation and lowering unemployment numbers for the black community specifically, record lows in reported history, the economy is showing signs not only of improvement but it shows that we will come back after covid19 is taken care of Even Stronger than ever. This is positive news for the american people, the american worker, and every black Small Business owner in america, help is coming, help is here. The economy is responding to President Trumps inclusive economy. It is really exciting news. It is exciting news. When you think about it, there are a lot of big states like california and new york who are not even open yet. We know the numbers will continue to get better from here. That brings me to you, representative jones. Lets talk about the difference between blue states and red states. Paris and i are black republicans and we are not supposed to exist, and we also support trump. You are a black democrat and support trump, and that is sort of an anomaly. I want people to hear from you because a lot of people have viewed this program who might not know who you are. I want to get into the difference in governance when it comes to blue states versus red. Take this opportunity to tell us who you are and why you support President Trump. First of all, i am american and obviously i am black, which is irrelevant in terms of what the president is doing for the country. The country is leaving no one behind. Everyone can benefit from this president. Prior to the pandemic, there were record numbers of unemployment across the board. Certainly for africanamericans. Small businesses were on the move. You saw the tax rate. A lot of those things the president put in place. This president wears a number of different hats. Obviously hes the chief executive officer, but hes been the chief jobs officer, the chief health officer. He struck a good balance between providing quality health, listening to the science, listening to health officials, and making sure every american is safe, but at the same time, this president has been adamant and i agree with him that we have to have economic recovery. He has to on the right thing. This president is on the right track and thats why i like him. Hes not your normal politician. He has been in the private sector. He knows jobs, he knows government, he knows how to make things happen in the private sector, and he has brought those skills to the oval office. We havent had that kind of chief executive in many years. I am not surprised by the economy. Let me say this, i am a democrat. I come from a southern state. I am conservative leaning and i mosteared that way, like africanamericans were reared. This president does three things. He provides results, and if you cant get the job done, he gets you out of the way and find someone else who can. Call me a nationalist, because i want to put america first. When you start putting illegals and other Interest Groups before the american people, i disagree with that. This is the first time in my lifetime that a president has put america first. You say that so well and i want to commend you for your courage and leadership, because it was not easy to put everything out there and support what is right for you and really what is right for the black community. We commend you for that. We know there are a lot of issues, and is not just jobs we are talking about with regards to blue states and red states, whether it is taxes or regulations, homelessness. There is a reason why so many people flee from states like california and go to texas, or flee from new york and go to florida. There is a reason for that. Every problem we talk about right now impacts black america more than most. What do you say the differences are and how it impacts the different communities . It is really important for us not to miss the historic nature of what representative jones just said. He said i am a black democrat, i am an american first, and when he first came out and talked about why he supported President Trump, he said i will remain a democrat and remain committed to my community. It reminded me of what my , walter john richard dennard. He was my hero, he comes from cordell, georgia, several hundred miles south of atlanta. I was talking to representative jones about our connection to georgia. Conservative family values type roots you find in a lot of southern black communities and families. The important thing that my grandfather told me, he said, paris, stay in your party. He said i dont like your president or your party, but i in your and i love you party. Because he knew the black community needed to have representation and voices heard on both sides of the aisle. To have representative jones with his leadership and influence come out and highlight that even in places that have democrat strongholds in terms of governors or mayors, it is ok to be a democrat and understand the impact of what this president is doing. That is to your point and your question about the differences. The differences come from leadership and philosophy and how to govern. It is about empowering people. It is about providing opportunity. When you look at the democrat mayors, unfortunately, that are presiding over a lot of rioting and looting in black communities across the country right now in response to the unjustifiable death of george floyd, many are not doing the community any service by allowing or not following a strong hand to restore law and order to protect the Small Businesses that were built by black communities. It is about black wealth and black lives and justice. Its about economic freedom. These democrats unfortunately have let the community down not only for months, not only for years, but in the case of joe biden, 44 years. In many communities, it is the generation. The time has come for change and the time has come for action. I believe, like representative jones believes, that the person who can deliver that action for the community and the nation is donald trump. I want to get more about the local leadership on the riots later, but representative jones, lets talk about georgia. Far too often, we group people by their party, but there are some democrats like yourself out there who have been fighting for the community and spearheaded policies. What is it about georgia that is attracting so many people, and what is the message youre taking on the road . One of the things you can say about georgia, we recognize the people are different. Leadership is more important than anything else. We have had past good leadership where georgia has been a job creator. We have been open to businesses moving here. We have been open to Small Businesses Getting Started and providing tax incentives so they can start a business and grow a business. Georgia has been attractive. In our infrastructure and , providing a climate where regulations are less and people want to come here. Taxes are lower here than other places. You have them coming from california, where they have been literally taxed out and cannot afford it anymore. You can come to georgia for a while. I will say this. When you have been chief executive officer, i can tell you local leadership is extremely important. I happen to be a democrat. I did not leave the party. The party left me. Those fiscal conservative policies recognize how important it is to have regulations so businesses can thrive and people can benefit from that. Georgia has led the nation the past several years in places to do business. We are keeping that going with our current governor, Governor Kemp. A an going to take the necessary precautions. At the same time, we recognize we have to have economic recovery because the coppers government coffers have fallen short and what happens when you dont have money . You go back to the people and raise taxes. Is striking and has struck a good balance, like the president has, in terms of providing taking care of the Public Health situation, making sure people are safe, but at the same time Opening Doors for businesses so people can go back to work, so we can get somewhat of a normal life back. When you see some of the events [indiscernible] in terms of protesting, the local governments are the ones who are responsible initially for keeping law and order. But you cant make a political decision based on Public Health and safety if you tell a restaurant if you have 11 more people we are going to close you. But you have people marching. They are violating the code. It is more a political decision based on the issues of Public Health and economic recovery. So i just say we have good leadership, certainly from our governor, but the local governments are the ones that should be asking the State Government for support and they also can make the call to the federal government. It goes from the bottom up. I want the president to come and bring whatever recesses resources he can to georgia. Local politics is involved with national politics. [indiscernible] the people will be the one to suffer. We need state and national support. I hope leaders on the local level recognize that. Absolutely. Before we get onto the next topic, i want to bring you in on one last thing. Joe biden is out there claiming he will win georgia, michigan, two states that President Trump carried in 2016. What can other republican candidates do to win over individuals like representative joness constituents . I think at the end of the day, it comes down to facts and it comes down to really knowing the record of President Trump and comparing it to that of joe biden. Joe biden said in that now infamous interview, examine my record, man. I think that is exactly how he said it. Examine my record, man. So lets do that. Lets have a conversation and examine records. You want to talk about education, lets look at historically black colleges and universities. Unprecedented support by this president. Permanent funding for 10 years. Title iii part f. Billions of dollars for hbcus. First time it is ever been done in history. President obama had a chance to do it and failed to do it. If he was caring about the black community, why didnt he stop the administration he was part of from cutting funding from the first budget of president obama . He stood by silently. When you look at the issue of School Choice, which is something important to states like georgia and Governor Kemp and many other states, but also important to the black community because we feel you should not have to be put in a bad school because of your zip code. It is about opportunity and it is about freedom, educational freedom and giving parents the choice to place their child in a better school. President trump has supported that. Vice President Biden has said that one of the first things he would do is get rid of charter schools. He is not your School Choice president like President Trump is. Most importantly, when you want to compare and talk about records, i would encourage people to look at the record of justice and criminal Justice Reform. You have one candidate talking about, i dont know, the issue of mass incarceration. The issue of looking up black locking up black people for years, destroying black communities and black families and black generational wealth. That person was joe biden, the architect of the crime bill and the unfair crack cocaine sentencing that also led to mass incarceration for black people. This is a man who has not been on the side of the black community when it comes to law and justice. Matter of fact, Charlamagne Tha God said joe biden was at the frontlines of mass incarceration. Contrast withe President Trump, who has been a champion for criminal Justice Reform and sought to undo the done by the 1994 bill. Joe biden had ample opportunity ample time to be a champion and , fight for the black community. He has been in office for 44 years and spent several months in his basement in delaware. And has yet to leave. President trump, the record is clear on his leadership as it relates to the black community the economy, and , most important, on the issue of justice and criminal Justice Reform. The facts will be the guide to help educate any mind on the left or right, but especially those who consider themselves to be democrat or open to giving the president and Republican Party a first or second look. You have to examine the facts and the record of joe biden and donald trump. Esentative, is that the solution . Anything to add . Obviously he is correct in every category. A footnote, you have to call this president the modern civil rights president , going back to Lyndon Baines johnson. Why . His policy has in a positive way helped the African American community. [indiscernible] this president , President Trump, has come to washington [indiscernible] has been an africanamerican agenda. Obviously historical black colleges, which i am a proud graduate. He helped my alma mater. Prison reform. Job opportunities as well. I can tell you this. If he comes through with the Civil Rights Act of 2020, he will be the greatest president in africanamerican communities going back to abraham lincoln. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but history will be on his side when people see who really helped africanamericans. It was donald j. Trump. This president is providing the type of leadership weve been asking for for years. You know where he is coming from. He is a straight shooter. People say they want an honest politician. They do not. He has done what he said he would do. The liberal media obviously, they feel like the black community is a captive audience, so does joe biden and the Democratic Party. That is why im calling them out for their bigotry. We have africanamericans on the side of joe biden, but joe biden in the Democratic Party has not been on the side of black people. We are afraid in some circles we will be attacked by the liberal media to keep black people on the plantation. The choice is clear here. You can ask anybody right now what has President Trump done and they cannot disagree with you over the issues we just talked about, prison reform, the Economic Development and opportunity in terms of jobs, and historically black colleges. If you ask anybody right now, what did joe biden do . Ask africanamerican. What has joe biden done in the past 49 years that has had an impact on africanamerican communities other than displacement from families and destroying their lives, taking from their children and mothers and fathers and incarcerating them where the time does not fit the crime . The joe biden we need to be highlighting. Black people have been really disillusioned about the Democratic Party. That is what scared the liberals and thats why they are horrified, because people like me and you all have come out and said we are not going to be part , of the bandwagon. We are independent thinkers. We dont need liberals thinking for us, wanting to build us a habitat house but not in their neighborhoods. We want to true economic power and donald trump has provided a seat at the table. That is why i support this president. You are absolutely right. You mention the media and it is so interesting to me because also in 2016, no one in the press asked candidate donald trump what his plan for black america was. Once he got elected, he literally built out this entire system of change, generational change for the black community, but all of a sudden today, they are making these demands. What is your agenda for the black community . For us it is like, where have you been . Are you not paying attention . I think its interesting they are questioning systemic racism when they should be asking joe biden what his plan is to end systemic racism because he was the one on the front lines who helped implement and maintain for over 40 years systemic racism that we see a lot inside democrat run communities. We are going to take a quick break and then we will move on to our next topic. Welcome back to black voices for trump, real talk. I am with vernon jones and paris dennard. We were just in the last segment talking about joe biden in one being one of the leaders of creating and implementing systemic racism that so Many Democrats are speaking about loudly today. Representative jones, did you want to comment on that . You said Something Interesting earlier about the black agenda. Africanamericans can deny this, when president obama was running [indiscernible] what are you going to do for black people . There were celebrities and others say and do not ask him about that let him be elected dont mess up. First. He gets elected and we start asking him about the black agenda, and then dont ask him right now, let him get reelected. He gets
