Who was ayn rand quick. She is an immigrant in 19 oh five she and her two Little Sisters witnessed the Russian Revolution when she was 12 after the revolution the day came in and took their business in their home they struggled but she was inspired by what she saw that there was a possibility to go to a place to pursue her dreams and came here just six years after the franchise to vote and worked many different jobs she wrote screenplays and books and that epic novel of the fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged and those that we chose to adapt as a graphic novel. But who is her philosophy why is she still relevant today to see what we see a lot of entitlement the rich are to blame the 1 percent caused the problems in society it is an epidemic that ayn rand called greed as it was the desire for the unearned so as a country where capitalism is in question are the fundamental basics because she challenged all of those ideas and those values and saw firsthand what collectivism had brought and destroyed her country to see these ideas glamorized and popularized. Capitalism celebrated the entrepreneur of anything that came along. And then to say i came from a Board Meeting that said as a child with chalk on a chalkboard to say this is a dangerous woman 12 yearold boy . Because that challenge the premises because that challenge the premises talk about the board that is the nonprofit philosophy think tank it has been around for 30 years and to be dedicated for the philosophy. If you have a particular brand and in the time that i have been involved to make sure we correctly identify our market as younger people who are influenced and then to be easily accessible to them and to do animated videos. And thats another thing that has become very popular they have become very popular with young people. Ayn rand called her philosophy objectivism quick. Thats a very good question. Because that is a philosophy of five branches of politics and ethics and that the reality makes it on exist. And with logic and reason to use our mind to identify. With premised upon the idea of the axiom so thats why she called it objectivism. And thats very different than the whole postmodern ideas. Is it amoral. It is deeply moral. So you think how could it be she has issues with libertarians . It goes back to that morality or ethics of individualism that we have a right but our founders believed that. It is not amoral in any sense it is deeply moral. Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged are well known. Richard in 1938 it is the world of the premises of collectivism for a society where there word i has been abolished and individual choice has been abolished. And someone who is a true individual very talented and curious and capable individual. Then starts to think for himself. And to do his research that things will be of Great Service to my fellow man. And its a story about what happens. So its the hunger games with that Popular Culture and then have that moral message spirit that predates orwell by ten years. It is quite similar in some ways. But i think its enormously appealing and it shocked to see how popular we came out with this one year ago and has distributed 40000 copies since then. Fell long before even any graphic novel as a awardwinning model comic illustrator. To anthem cell in its day quick. It did. Is popular and the fountainhead. Who is your co adapter . My parents were in the peace corps so i was a peace corps baby. I dont think i ever met a republican or anything all of my childhood years. That anybody didnt think like us were really bad people or dumb. But then they started to do a little bit of research and the more i learned and in individualism and thats it. Thats what i believe in and i have a debt of gratitude to work on with the Atlas Society. And i wanted to repay that debt by sharing that philosophy with others. That we are social beings. But i would like to help others and then to discover these answers. What are the difficulties of turning anthem into a graphic novel quick. A very good question. The Atlas Society is a small nonprofit people that believe in us and invested us. And then you could afford. But then to do that as a labor of love and then to believe in this. And then giving any direction. And that had to be done systematically. Did you have to edit that down quick. Not at all spent the entire novella is included . There is some adaptations but 90 percent is in their. May be some punctuation and things. But the other is the challenge it created a piece of art or literature. And those that are consumers to see their product in a particular way. So the comic book it is a little wordy but i tried to balance to what ayn rand wrote but then to make sure it was accessible and popular as a benefit. That Atlas Shrugged and fountainhead .
