The computerized tomography (CT) scanner is increasing access to rapid diagnostics closer to home, reducing travel to larger centres. “It provides us with so much more intel than an x-ray, with images of internal injuries or disease,” says SJGH CEO Jeremy Stevenson. “It has met our first critical goal as an organization: to increase access to care in the community, providing rapid diagnostics and treatment locally.”
