An artist's impression of the redeveloped lodge OUTDOOR activity groups could soon benefit from a re-developed Pettypool Centre in Cuddington — with works aiming to make social distancing easier. The site, owned by the Girlguiding UK, has reached the end of its life and needs a new sleeping accommodation to be practical again. A planning application submitted to Cheshire West and Chester Council seeks permission to replace the existing ranger den, and undertake ‘minor internal remodelling works and new external canopy to the existing residential lodge’. In a design and access statement to planners, architects Walker Simpson write: “The new single storey Ranger Den will provide a small kitchen and activity room as per the existing building in addition to sleeping accommodation with an accessible W.C. and Accessible Shower.
