Curtis Sagmoen faces a single count of assault against a police officer. According to court documents, the incident took place in Spallumcheen on Oct. 29, 2019, the same day police searched the Sagmoen family's Salmon River Road property. A pre-trial conference has been scheduled for Jan. 26, 2022, a voir dire is scheduled from Feb. 22 to 24, 2022, and a four-day trial is set to commence March 1, 2022, according to the Vernon Courthouse registry. A voir dire is a hearing to determine the admissibility of evidence.
