The effort is spearheaded by the university’s Office of the Vice President for Research and Extension. According to Ruel M Mojica, CvSU vice president for Research and Extension, the project is also being undertaken in cooperation with Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI), an attached agency of the Department of Agriculture (DA). A team composed of Alberto Creencia and Danilo Mojica of the CvSU-National Coffee Research, Development and Extension Center (NCRDEC) already held a hands-on training on the establishment of the coffee plantation. During the actual demonstration, planting distance, layouting, holes preparation and transplanting of coffee were shown to the participants. Multicropping will also be considered for the project.
