cwc: Yamuna water level in Delhi stabilises, will start receding soon, says CWC

The water level of the flooded Yamuna river in Delhi has stabilised, with the river expected to start receding in the next four hours, according to the Central Water Commission. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had urged the central government to intervene and police imposed Section 144 of the CrPC in flood-prone areas to stop public gathering. The DMDA has directed that all non-essential government offices, schools and colleges in the city be closed until Sunday.
