What is Dairy Day? Dairy Day is the brainchild of the Irish Farmers Journal dairy and livestock teams. It is a unique event, in that it’s a combination of interactive seminars and demonstrations on all things dairy, along with over 80 trade stands. The 80 trade stands represent companies that are involved in supplying inputs and services to the dairy sector. Who attends Dairy Day? Dairy farmers make up the vast majority of the attendance at Dairy Day, followed by students from agricultural colleges and third level. Those working in the industry, such as advisers and sales representatives, also attend. All of the major companies have stands at Dairy Day, so their representatives will be present. This year, there are over 40 invited speakers, all of whom have flown in specifically for Dairy Day from as far away as New Zealand and Chile. These speakers will be available for one-to-one conversations throughout the day.
