By Tyler Bass on June 9, 2021 Incumbent Gloucester County Clerk of Circuit Court Cathy Dale, at a Republican party canvass held Monday, won the Republican nomination for the post in an election to be held in November. Dale became clerk last year after the retirement of Margaret Walker. Dale outpolled Amy Pierce for the nomination. A release from Gloucester Republican chairman Ashley C. Chriscoe said that of 504 votes cast during the canvass, held at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, 62.7 percent or 316 were for Dale and the remainder for Pierce. “Thank you all for your amazing support,” said Dale, “the turnout yesterday was incredible and I am grateful for each of your votes.”
